Coronavirus has hit the world in a terrible, terrifying way. 2 weeks before moving back onto my ship, the Symphony of the Seas, the cruise lines put a hold on sailing. We were sent home with the promise of return. So I am back in CT awaiting the return of normalcy and with that the world of theatre. Since March everything in the industry has shut down. There is no telling when productions will begin again, but the theatre world has taken a massive hit, and it is likely that many theatres will not recover from this. It is a very strange and very scary time. Never before would I have imagined a scenario where everyone in my chosen career would be without even the hope of work. Our Industry will come back, but the question is when? And what will it look like in this new reality?
